If you're still having trouble, check out. You can also search near a city, place, or address instead. I've come to Golfsmith a few times and always walked away pleased with my experience. It's not the ginormous golf-amusement-park retail experience that you get when you go to the PGA Tour Superstore, but it gets the job done.
They have a good selection of new clubs, and I've found their pricing on used clubs to be extremely competitive, if not better than the PGA Store. They also have really good sale pricing on their clothing pretty much all the time. In addition, the service has always been 'up to par' as well. License key generator software. I'd recommend Golfsmith if you're in the area and want to avoid the larger store a few exits South on the freeway. My driver is outdated, so I went shopping for a new one.
I found this place on Yelp and dropped by to check it out. This store is pretty cool! It reminds me of Golf Galaxy back in Vegas only a little smaller. I wandered over to the used golf clubs section and found a couple of drivers that interested me.
I took them to the practice area and hit a few balls with the clubs.unfortunately, they didn't feel good when I hit them, so I passed. The prices for the used clubs were a little high I thought.still, it's better than paying full price. The other stuff they had in the store was competitively priced with other stores. Decent selection of shoes and clothing. I know I'll definitely be back. Return Factor - 100%.
One of my hobbies is visiting golf stores. I very seldom buy anything, but I love to look, try new clubs, and see all the products that will supposedly make me a scratch golfer. So once every couple of weeks, I visit all the golf stores in the area. I had heard of Golfsmith through national advertising, but had never been to the local store. So I added Golfsmith to my rotation. They are located in a shopping center in North Scottsdale, in a nondescript location next to Staples.
They are hard to find, and not really convenient, but they do have a well stocked store. Although they do not have the volume of the PGA Superstore, they have the same selections (just in smaller quantity) and can order any custom club you want.
They also have a swing area, several pros on staff, and club repair. Their apparel selection is average, but tasteful.
One of the advantages of Golfsmith is that they stock Titleist products, which the PGA Superstore does not (they are in a contract dispute with Acushnet). The staff at Golfsmith, for the most part, are very friendly, and helpful.
They will answer your questions, but are not pushy or over selling, and will simply let you browse without bothering you. This is definitely a nice option for killing time looking at or talking about golf.
AVOID THIS CHAIN IF AT ALL POSSIBLE!! As a retail analyst for a major measurement standards group, Golfsmith would receive a 'F' rating as they fail in all aspects of customer service.
I visited their store Monday arriving at 12:42 pm to a store that had maybe 6 customers. I was looking at iron sets with the intent of purchasing a set of TaylorMade irons. For the 28 minutes I was in the area, a couple of clerks (had to have been clerks-a salesperson would have offered assistance) passed by but failed to offer help, let alone acknowledge my presence. Thankfully there are other golf shops in the west valley that WILL welcome a customer and be willing to engage in what other golf shops refer to as 'customer service'. 'Golfsmith is a golfer's paradise because we offer the ultimate interactive, retail experience. Our focus on custom-fitting sets us apart from other golf retailers and now we offer more of everything golfers need to enjoy the game,' said Golfsmith International's President and CEO Sue Gove. 'Golfsmith associates are experts in helping golfers find just the right gear to play their best.'
Golfsmith Used Ping Drivers
I really wonder how Ms. Gove would feel about my experience at her Peoria store based on her glowing words at the stores grand opening??? PS- this comment is listed as Janet H.
I was the actual customer. Also this review is for the PEORIA/GLENDALE STORE ON BELL ROAD-NOT THE SCOTTSDALE LOCATION. I am very new to golf and have a really old set of clubs, so I decided that I would start by buying a new driver. I went to the PGA Superstore and after 20 minutes trying to find someone to help me, I left. I was a little hesitant to go to Golfsmith after reading some not so great reviews, but I couldn't be happier with my decision to go. I got there and it was less crowded than the PGA store and they had several drivers priced better than the PGA superstore. I spoke to an associate named Frank who was awesome.
I told him a little bit about my skill level and what I'm trying to accomplish and he went with me and helped me pick out a few drivers to try. I went into their simulator and hit all the clubs for a good 30 minutes with nobody pressuring me to leave. I was able to find the club that worked best for me at a great price. Great experience. Will definitely go back when I need new clubs. Will Never Buy Anything From Here Again!
In the last 2 years I've probably spent close to $5k with Golfsmith. They'll completely deny this, however I'm fairly certain there sales staff pushes certain brands over other brands, and not because of play ability either. My issue came when I was going there to purchase a set of Titleist AP2s (Just wanted to hit em before I bought) and the salesperson basically made me feel like an idiot if I bought the AP2s and pushed the R9s on me. I'll admit I hit the R9s on Swing Tracker the same as the AP2s, I'm not giving them a bad review because the salesperson talked me into the AP2s I'm really upset with the fact that I went there a month later (buyers remorse) to see if I can trade my R9s for AP2 or at least a good discount off. They were already clearance out the R9s (Only a couple weeks later) and told me the most they could give me for my irons was $125; After I just spent $900+ on them. Also on the same order of my irons I purchased a new driver, wedges, etc.
So my total bill was over $2k and the best they could do is offer me $125 for my irons that were still brand new looking. No thanks Never Again!! I'll give my business to PGA Store or Vans. I had a very positive experience at this location today. My service professional (Matt) was helpful and attentive while answering all my questions in a knowledgeable and matter of fact way.
He helped me through a full fitting for new irons and was really helpful with my iron selection. I just walked in, asked for help, and Matt saw me through the whole process. So far, I'm very happy.
I placed an order for a customized set of irons (Xtra stiff, +.5 length shafts with a heavier head weight.5 through PW). I didn't feel any pressure to purchase hybrids or drivers. In fact, we specifically discussed sizing and purchasing those items later to complete my set. I appreciated this approach and believe I was dealt with honestly and candidly. The store is a decent size and has a fairly large selection of all golf related items (sets, individual clubs, clothing, accessories, shoes, etc). There is an entire fitting and driving area to test clubs. They also have a separate business partner named 'Golftec' who can provide swing analysis, training, and other services.
It appeared they had a full service area for repairs, grip replacement, etc (I can't speak to this area yet). Overall, I'm going back to get my new irons in a week. I'll look to size, fit, and purchase new drivers and/or hybrids soon. I will return to this location for future purchases. I would recommend this location due to my experience.
The only reason this isn't a 5 star review is due to this being my only visit to the store and I don't have my product yet. Once I get my irons and have more experience I will update my review and determine if this is truly a 5 star business. Thanks for reading.

Bought the GolfSmith HiCor Driver 11.5 degree from Bulldoggolf.com. Built with GS graphite reg flex for about $180. I had considered getting a KZG driver, but they were kind of pricey and the GS HiCor got great reviews and for much less so I decided to try it out. I have to say I am floored by how I'm hitting this club. Sets up nicely, nice blue finish, and the great 'ping' sound when you make contact. Ball flight it pretty remarkable.long and straight.
Used Drivers At Golfsmith
Let's put it this way, I had the worst slice at first, then I overcorrected and hit awful snap hooks prior to this club. Let's just say I had to try really hard to do either with this club! I think to illustrate the effect it had on my game: within a month of me starting to play with this club, on 3 different occasions with 3 different people I usually play with all said the same thing.' I've never seen you hit like this before!' Great club and for what I consider a steal! Bought the GolfSmith HiCor Driver 11.5 degree from Bulldoggolf.com. I've never seen you hit like this before!' Great club and for what I consider a steal! My best friend bought a $300.00 Golf gear Tsumani 400cc driver and was killing it off of the tee. He was out driving by 40 to 50 yards. It was starting to get to me that he would fly right by me when before we were about even, then I decided to get a 400cc driver myself.I purchased a golfsmith Hi-Cor 11.5 degree driver and now we hit our drives about even.
I even out drive him from time to time with my new Hi-Cor driver. It is by far the longest hitting driver that I've ver hit. And I didn't pay an arm and a leg either, like you might buying one of those other top name drivers,580's,983's,427's,redline. Save yourself a pile of money and get one of these drivers. I went with a 11.5 degree driver because I wanted more carry, and I get it with this driver.Take this test, take a water hose and turn it on, don't change the pressure, hold the hose level and see where the water hits the ground. Now keeping the water pressure the same without changing anything, point the hose slightly up and then watch where the water hits the ground, you will notice that it contacts the ground further out than where it was holding the hose level.I am sold on golfsmith and their products.I use a Hi-Cor GS50 stiff shaft in my driver. This is the 5th driver I have owned in 4 years.
Its the first one I've liked. Long and straight. Added 50 yards to my drives. Very easy to hit.
Have gs-70 shaft at 45' with 11.5 degree head. I simply cannot believe this club. It hits longer than the taylor made 5 series. It almost feels like stealing to get such an awesome club so cheap. Having to have a fast swing speed to benefit from a Hi cor driver is crap.
My swing is about 90 mph and most drives with this are 240 to 260 with the occasional freak drive being 280 to 290. Did I mention very easy to hit and very accurate.
I thought the large head would be hard to get used to. It looks like a volkswagon on a stick. Sure isnt a probem though.
Your supposed to keep your eye on the ball anyways. Did I say WOW!!!! This is the 5th driver I have owned in 4 years. Its the first one I've liked. Long and straight. Added 50 yards to my drives. Very easy to hit.

Those days are no more. With the Hi-COR my drives now look like they are shot out of a cannon, exactly where I happen to aim the clubface. Hardly a turn to either the left or right. It is the only driver worthy enough to retire my trusted old King Cobra. What a marvel to hit, and then watch, and listen to the ooohs and ahhhhhs.
Don't waste your money on the Callaways, the Taylors, or anything else. This club is the bomb!

If you're paying $500 for a Titleist or Taylor Made, you're an idiot. This club not only has all the looks and feel of the fancy name brand models but it's right up there with the longest of longest legal drivers.
Not sure I've ever hit a driver that feels so solid and hot and this one. Ball flight is high but not ballooning and has the hot roll of an ERC II.
Found this club very easy to work both ways but probably best when you just point and shoot. Playing with the GS-50 Stiff Hi-Cor shaft and love it. Only thing I've found somewhat hard to do is to hit the low running wind cheater - but probably just need some swing tuning to figure that out since I've never played a 400 cc head before.
This club has the same 15-3-3-3 beta titanium insert face that the Titleist drivers have and like I said, it really goes. Probably not a club for the golfer who likes feedback bcoz the feel is somewhat muted (like the J-VS or L FE). Has the old 'pingy' sound of the Greatest Big Bertha - something I like.
Having recently played both the J-VS and the L FE I can attest that this club stands up to everything they can offer - plus it's longer. When you factor into account that you can buy and build this club for less than $125, it's almost too good to be true. If you're paying $500 for a Titleist or Taylor Made, you're an idiot. Being a component club, you may not get the right combination of shaft and head the first time as I did not. I bought the Golfsmith GS-50 HiCor shaft in stiff flex and made it 44.75 inches. I was having trouble slicing and fading the club which is not my normal shot. I took.75 inches off the tip of the shaft(technically, this makes it closer to an 'X' shaft, however, it feels more like a Stiff-it does not feel board like). It is now 44 inches and hits beautifully! It is hard NOT to hit this club straight. Center hits, heal hits, toe hits.
They all go straight. This may not be what all golfers want, ie, they may want more control over the direction, however, for the vast majority of golfers, straight is a very good direction.
